Our Statement of Faith

We members of UFC make the following declarations of belief:

That both the Old and the New Testament are given by the inspiration of God without errors and they are the final authority for faith and practice of Christian living (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

That there is one God eternally existing in the Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, each with deity and personality. (John 15:26)

Jesus Christ:

That Jesus Christ the only begotten son of God was born of the Virgin Mary died and rose again on the third day for the redemption of mankind. The only mediator between man and God, who is now seated at the right side of the father and who will come back to judge the living and the dead. (Hebrew 4:15, John 5:16)

The Holy Spirit:

That the Holy Spirit is the third person in the trinity, equal with God in deity and personality. (Matthew 28: 19; John 14: 15 – 16; 1 Corinthians 12:11; 1 John 5:6)

The Church:

That the church is the body of Christ, that all who are united by faith in Christ are members of the body and that having thus, become members of one another by solemn covenant duty to fellowship with one another with pure hearts. (Ephesians 4: 4 – 6)

Salvation of man is wholly the work of God’s grace and not the work, in whole or in part, of human works, goodness or religious ceremony. God imputes his righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justifies in his sight. (Isaiah 64:6; John 3:5 – 18. Galatians 6:23; Philippians 3:4 – 9; Titus 3:5; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:23)
